Thea Racelis

What drives my work?
I am a leader and activist in social justice and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. I approach my teaching, preaching, and coaching from a trauma-informed lens. I am bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural in Spanish and English.

What is my experience?
I have worked in community development, ministry, and education. I have five years of experience as a family advocate and family coordinator in Boise and Los Angelos. I worked for eight years as a minister, which included coordinating a youth and young adult ministry. I was then an English Language Arts teacher in Las Vegas high schools in Dual Enrollment and comprehensive school settings.

What is my education?
I have a Master's in English Language from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, a Master's of Divinity from the Claremont School of Theology, and a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. I am currently in a Doctoral Program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Curriculum, Culture, and Change.
