
Dr. Jeen Mariam Joy is an education researcher and program evaluator who centers equity, community voice, and systems-level improvement in her work. She is committed to designing learning ecosystems that promote wellbeing, postsecondary readiness, and inclusive assessment practices. Jeen is especially passionate about working with diverse communities to co-create data-informed strategies that foster belonging and opportunity for all learners.
She brings a strong background in mixed-methods research, teacher education, and program evaluation. Her dissertation explored teacher assessment literacy and how feedback cycles influence program development. Jeen has contributed to grant-funded research across teacher residency models, education technology, and responsive pedagogy. She has presented her work at national conferences and led cross-sector teams in designing actionable tools and equity-focused evaluation frameworks.
Jeen lives in Amarillo, Texas, where she collaborates with local schools and higher education institutions. Her work is grounded in faith, family, and a belief that educational change begins with listening well. She is excited to contribute to the Fig Lab’s mission of transforming systems with integrity, insight, and hope.
